About Us
All Means All: JCUMC Welcomes You!
We are called the Heart of JC for two reasons: We are located in the heart of Junction City, Oregon, and we try to live our lives and model our ministries after the heart of Jesus Christ.
To that end, we welcome to our fellowship and work all the persons that Jesus would welcome and embrace:
We extend a special welcome to those who are single, married, divorced, gay, straight, filthy rich, or dirt poor. We extend a special welcome to crying newborns, those of all shapes, sizes, body types, and colors.
You’re welcome here if you’re “just browsing,” just woke up or just got out of jail. We don’t care if you’re more Catholic than the Pope, more Methodist than Wesley, or haven’t been in church since little Joey’s baptism.
We welcome soccer moms, Ducks Dads, Beaver Believers, starving artists, tree-huggers, latte-sippers, vegetarians, junk-food eaters. We welcome those who are in recovery or still addicted.
We welcome you if you’re having problems, if you’re down in the dumps, or in need of a prayer, whether you had church shoved down your throat as a kid, or if you don’t like “organized religion.”
We’ve been there too.
We welcome those who are inked, pierced or both. We welcome tourists, seekers and doubters, bleeding hearts… and you!
